The National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) is the official women’s organization of the Democratic Party, recognized by the Democratic National Committee since 1972. With members across the country, the Federation works to engage, educate, and empower Democratic women to take active roles in politics and public service. Its mission is to encourage women’s participation at every level of the political process—from grassroots organizing to serving in elected office—while advocating for policies that advance equality, justice, and opportunity.
Through its national network of state federations and local clubs, the NFDW provides training, resources, and a strong support system for women leaders. Our organization also hosts regional meetings and National Conventions, where members can connect, share strategies, and hear directly from Democratic leaders. By building a powerful coalition of women dedicated to Democratic values, the NFDW continues to be a driving force in shaping the future of the party and amplifying women’s voices in American politics.
