The Art of Power by Nancy Pelosi

The National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) held its second Book Club meeting on Sunday, May 18, 2025, bringing members together virtually via Zoom for an insightful discussion of Nancy Pelosi’s book, The Art of Power. The event drew participants from across the country who were eager to explore the life, leadership, and legacy of one of the most influential women in American politics.

The discussion centered around Pelosi’s extraordinary journey — from her beginnings in Baltimore politics to her historic role as the first woman Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives. Members reflected on her strategic leadership, her courage in navigating turbulent political times, and the lessons her story offers for women in public service today.

The virtual gathering was both inspiring and empowering, offering a reminder that women’s leadership is not only essential but transformative. The NFDW Book Club continues to serve as a space for learning, reflection, and connection — where Democratic women come together to share ideas and strengthen the movement for equality and progress.
