NFDW: Standing in POWER with Letitia James, New York State Attorney General
The oath of office of the New York State Attorney General Office states in part, “I will support the constitution of the United States.” Current New York Attorney General Letitia James was indicted by a Virgina grand jury – not for violating her oath – but for upholding it. Lovie West, President of the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW) states, “New York Attorney General Letitia James is not cowering and neither should we! NFDW stands in power with New York Attorney General James because we will not allow these attacks on our democratic principles … attacks on women in power … to go unchecked or unopposed.”
President West further stated, “Whether we reside in New York City or Des Moines, Iowa, we have an obligation as citizens – as women – to honor our moral code and the country’s pledge of allegiance which demands “liberty and justice for all.”
